Under Matthieu’s leadership, FEops has transformed from a small academic spin-off into a fast-growing venture capital backed gazelle in the medtech sector. He completed his degree in engineering at the University of Ghent in 2002 and gained his PhD in 2008 for his research on cardiovascular device and procedure modeling. 

Peter Mortier
CTO, co-founder and member of the board of directors

Peter is internationally recognized for his groundbreaking work in the use of computer simulation to evaluate cardiovascular implants and procedures. Under his supervision, the TAVI guide™ tool has been transformed from an innovative idea into a CE-marked product. Peter has a PhD in biomedical engineering from Ghent University.

Isabelle Decroos
CFO

Isabelle Decroos has over 15 years of international financial management experience in various sectors, including five years in the life sciences and biopharma industry. Prior to joining FEops, Isabelle worked at Argenx SE, where she was part of the team that led the company through its successful IPO on Nasdaq. Isabelle has a master’s degree in commercial engineering from the University of Antwerp and an MBA from the Vlerick Business School.

Christian Vincent
Director of therapy development

Christian has a long track record of success in the cardiovascular device industry. His healthcare industry experience spans three decades, with a strong focus on cardiovascular medical devices. He has held multiple roles within the structural heart space with different key market players and has led structural heart clinical trials. Developing educational programs as EMEA VP of education and head of therapy development EMEA, Christian brings substantial expertise to FEops’ vision of becoming a game-changer in the way transcatheter structural heart procedures are planned.

Nico Uwents
Director of business development

Nico has worked in the cardiovascular medical device space for more than two decades. Prior to FEops, he worked at St Jude Medical/Abbott as the EMEA marketing director responsible for the Cardiac Rhythm Management portfolio. Nico has also fulfilled different strategic and commercial roles with Boston Scientific, Guidant and Servier.
